The story behind Actual Reports
In May 2012 we set out to create an awesome tool for developers to make their life easier and take the hustle out of creating and customizing output, printouts and documents for their users. We specially targeted SaaS providers who needed to produce different output for their users - invoices, reports, labels etc, because they have a lot of users and they tend to have special needs. After launching the developer platform we built an end-user facing product “Printout Designer” that used our own API to create and design documents. In the end of 2014 we gathered the knowledge gained from creating Printout Designer and started building Actual Reports 2.0, a complete document management, electronic workflow and document automation solution. As similar to Printout Designer we intend to integrate with well known business software like Quickbooks, NetSuite, Salesforce, Xero and others (accounting, ERP, sales, HR etc). Our main competence is creating, tracking and delivering any kind of business documents from invoices and quotes to labels and infographics. There is a lot in the pipeline and we are hoping to announce new developments soon.
